The opening shot of the movie showed fog rolling across a lake, and this shot was taken in the same location near Camp Daniel Morgan. But that didn't stop him from getting a few snapshots! The types of trees in this area are very recognizable. When Bong Tokin' Chuckles first showed up to the camp area, it was closed for the winter. This is a functioning group camp, so please ask permission from the park office before visiting the site. It was at this camp that most of the cabin scenes were filmed, as well as all of the lake scenes. Hard Labor Creek State Park - (2 miles North of Rutledge, GA) This beautiful park is mostly a large golf course, but it does have two group camps on it, one of them being Camp Daniel Morgan. This building is located in Starsville, Georgia, just off Hwy. The booth was a prop setup for the movie, as well as the sign Karlov's General Store. Thanks to Jacob Burnell for sending in some shots of the building used where Tommy was in the telephone booth. Here is a shot of the same road on which Megan and Tommy used to try to escape from the police. They are on Monticello Road, in the heart of Covington, and you can see the historical courthouse building in the background. When Megan helps Tommy bust out of jail, they speed away from the Sheriff's Department down this street. In this shot of Megan and Tommy escaping, you can see the red handrail that is still there. There was never a shot of the top of the building because it would have revealed the library sign. This shot shows the sheriff's department doors as Megan is about to leave. You can see the area on the door where they pasted the "Forest Green County Sheriff Dept" sign. This is a shot from when Tommy first goes into the Sheriff's office to tell them that Jason is alive. Some examples include the television shows In the Heat of the Night and The Dukes of Hazard, and the movies Little Darlings and Miss Evers Boys. The Covington area was popular in the 1970's and 80's as a film location for television and movies set in the South.

Here is another shot from when Tommy returns to the graveyard and is chased by the police. The headstone used for 'Jason Voorhees' was only a prop, of course. This is a shot from when the caretaker discovers Jason's grave has been disturbed, and goes to cover up the evidence. The wrought iron gates were removed at some point, but it is still a normal functioning cemetery. New Covington Cemetery - (9189 Highway 278 E, Covington, GA) This was the cemetery used for the scenes where Tommy digs up Jason's grave. Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives: Film Location
